Patricia Ann Brooks Ransdell

Patricia Ann Brooks Ransdell, 79, of Frankfort, died on Monday, the 11th day of July, 2022, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Born in Shelbyville on the 23rd day of March in 1943. She was the daughter of the late Stanley Ervin Brooks and Ruth Bell Rogers Brooks Roberts. A member of the Shelbyville First Baptist Church and also attended the Silas Baptist Church, she was a faithful Christian servant, serving as a Womans Missionary Union Director, Sunday school teacher, and was a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. She was a Head Start Teacher for the Bourbon County Schools and Even start teacher for the Shelby County Public Schools. Over their lifetime she and her husband David were foster parents to twenty-four children. Her hobbies included working crossword puzzles, reading books, watching the lifetime channel (Christmas in July movies), sporting events and the news. She had a hidden talent for painting and singing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant boys, Shaun and Eric Ransdell and her three siblings, Captain Kenneth Brooks, Lieutenant Bobby Brooks and Virginia Hogue.

Her survivors include her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Reverend Charles David Ransdell, of Frankfort; her daughter Kimberly Bowman and her husband, Guy, of Paris; her son Tim Ransdell and his wife, Kim, of Shelbyville; her six grandchildren, Brent, Hunter, Hannah, Landon, Kody and Madison; and her loving dog, Wiggles.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 A.M., Friday, the 15th day of July, 2022, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville, with the Reverend Curtis Coots officiating. Interment was at 1:15 P.M. in the Jacksonville Cemetery, 1180 Russell Cave Road, Cynthiana, Kentucky 40361. Visitation was from 5:00 P.M., until 8:00 P.M., on Thursday, the 14th day of July, 2022, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home.
