Jamaun Latrell Ransom

Jamaun Latrell Ransom, 21, died Tuesday July 19, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY.
He was born in Georgetown, KY to Jermaine “Fatz” Ransom and Danielle “Dee” Barnes. Jamaun was a member of the Prodigal’s House and a 2019 graduate of Paris High School.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Jalen Ransom and Jakari Ransom; one sister, Jaleah Ransom; great grandmother, Geraldine Ransom, grandparents, Connie Hutsell, James Dumphord, Tina Davis and Pamela (Billy) Reed; two aunts, Kelly (Joel) Catlett and Nadia Hutsell; nine uncles, Shawn Ransom, Jeremy Ransom, Shelby Young, Chase Dumphord, Cody Dumphord, Tony Kemper, Juwaun Dumphord, Jawane Dumphord, Shawn Thomas, and Herman (Roberta) Hutsell, Jr. and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, Travis Strings and Michael Jackson, Jr.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Sam Ransom, Shelby Young, Sr. and Herman Hutsell, Sr.
Jamaun loved sports, when he was younger he was an active baseball player and loved the game. He also loved supporting the youth, watching via livestream. He enjoyed music and singing, like he owned the mic.
The home going service for Jamaun was 12:00 PM Tuesday July 26, 2022 at the Bedford Acres Christian Church, 5414 Lexington Rd., Paris, KY by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey and Rev. Aaron Crumbie. Burial followed in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY.
Visitation was from 10:00 AM Tuesday July 26, 2022 until the hour of service at the church.
Pallbearers were Jalen Ransom, Jakari Ransom, Marqeis Catlett, Cordre Patterson, Michael Jackson, Jr., Travis Strings, Jalen Byars, Jayden Mitchell and Titus Ransom.
Honorary pallbearers were CKC Baseball Team and the Paris High School Class of 2019.
The family would like to request that any memorials to take the form of contributions to Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
The arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
