Phyllis A. Porrell
Phyllis A. Porrell, 83. Our beloved mother passed away on August 5, 2022. She is survived by her three children, James Horgos, Joseph Horgos, and Kathy Pickup (Matthew.) She was predeceased in 2020 by her husband of 42 years, Joseph J. Porrell.
During the last few years of her life, Phyllis was lovingly cared for twenty-four hours a day by her team of selfless caregivers. They included Kathy Kookendoffer, Kimberly (Jo) Banks, Robin Kuster, Heather Gaunce, Deborah True, and Naomi Rios. We, Phyllis’ children sincerely appreciate all the compassion, love, and attention that was given to our mother on daily basis from this team of wonderful women.

My Mother was a true Angel and the smartest most beautiful women I ever saw.She gave me and my other family everything she had only to be betrayed by those she trusted as did her husband Joe “The Coach”‘Porrell who died from Covid 19 after they were taken from Florida to Kentucky…Today is August 23rd.I found out today she passed away on the 8th.
So sorry to hear Phyllis has passed. My heart and prayers go out to my good friend Joseph and other friends and relatives mourning the loss. I know Joe will miss spending the time and taking care of both her and Coach these many years. He knew she was his biggest fan and in return he would always be there to help. She will be remembered always.
