Geoffery Lynn Glassman
Geoffery Lynn Glassman, 74, husband of Joan Gale Glassman, died Monday, September 5, 2022, at his home in Paris, KY.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and a native of Paris, KY, he was the son of the late Harold Glassman and Rebecca Goldberg Glassman.
He was of Jewish descent and a Godly man who loved his Lord and Savior. He always put family first. He loved his wife, kids, and grandkids more than life itself. They were his whole world. Spending time with them was what he lived for.
Besides his dedication to Business Administration and Retail for area businesses he managed, he was a worker of the land. He was an extremely hard worker at that. He spent countless hours in tobacco fields, barns, and wherever needed to help with the family farm. He was always eager and willing to help out whenever he was called upon. His work ethic was truly second to none.
When Geoffrey wasn’t working, he loved spending time outdoors camping, fishing, hiking, and taking trips to the lake. One of his favorite places to visit, besides back home to New Jersey, was The Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. He loved the beauty and the serenity that the Smokies have to offer and would go as often as possible. He also loved all sports and cheering on his favorite teams, but especially Baseball and Football. As an avid sports fan the Yankees, the Giants, and the Steelers were his favorites.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Michelle (Brian) Sidwell and Theresa Foreman; five grandchildren, Robert Webster III, Aiden Foreman, Ryan Coons, Nathan Sidwell, and Kaitlyn Sidwell as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services were conducted at 2:30 PM Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Paris Cemetery, 1603 Main St., Paris, KY by Gary Broughton.
