John Drue Stubblefield

John Drue Stubblefield, 66, husband of Susan Stubblefield, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, at his home. A native of Paris, Kentucky, he graduated from Bourbon County High School, class of 1974, and attended Eastern Kentucky University. He was the son of the late Lewis J. Stubblefield, Sr. and Iona Frances Rains Stubblefield. He will be forever missed and loved by his family and friends. John Drue is survived by a brother, Lewis “Sonny” (Dianne) Stubblefield, Jr. of Paris, and a sister, Connie “Ghee” Coghill of Lexington; one nephew, Eric Christopher (Karen) Bowen of Lexington, two great nephews, Zackory Bowen and Carter “Bo” Stubblefield; brothers-in-law, Jim Bowman (Susan) and Noel Bowman (Renee), several cousins and his beloved cats, and special cat, Tiger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Stubblefield, nephew, Jeremy Stubblefield, and his cat, Roscoe.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Hinton Turner Funeral Home, 526 Pleasant Street, Paris, by Pastor Kyle Sullivan with burial in Paris cemetery.
Visitation was from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Jim Rankin, Buzz Burns, Roger Caswell, Bobby St. Johns, Jim Bowman, and Noel Bowman.
Honorary pallbearers were Steve Minnick, Kent Cross, Ronnie Duncan, Willis Paul Duncan, Peter Rains, Charlie Garnett, and David Bennett Wells.
