Jewel Dene Hill Padgett, 79, wife of William Padgett for almost 60 years, died Thursday, October 6, 2022, at her home in Carlisle, KY.
A native of Marion, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Raymond and Nannie Bell Sears Hill. She retired from the Dixie Cup Factory, enjoyed reading, loved her family, and loved working in her flower garden. She was a member of Millersburg Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, William Lee Padgett; one daughter, Christie Dene Padgett; ten grandchildren, Leslie Dawn Padgett, Marcus Strausbaugh, Dakota Dawson, Leandra Padgett, Morgan Padgett, Wrayann Padgett, Brooklyn Padgett, William J. Padgett, Don Padgett, Jr., and Austin Padgett; nine great-grandchildren, Aubrey Petitt, Aniyah Weaks, D’Aria Weaks, Hazel Grace Padgett, Reid McCarty, Laiden McCarty, Miller McCall, Jayleigh Curtis, and Arianna Warfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Don Leslie Padgett, and Len Brooks Padgett, and one brother, Donald Hill.
A graveside service was conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Millersburg Cemetery, Trigg Street, Millersburg, KY by David Mefford. Burial was in the Millersburg Cemetery.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
