Veda Roberta “Bobbie” Herendeen Heckler Honaker, 86, widow of Clarence Honaker, Sr., died Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY.
A native of Bethany, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gertrude White Herendeen. She retired from Bluegrass Industries and KY Textiles, loved her dogs and cats, and was a den mother in Cub Scouts.
She is survived by two sons, CD Honaker and Richard (Mary Ann) Heckler; seven grandchildren, Dustin, Hunter, Samantha, Cory, Cammy, Wil, and Kevin; nine great-grandchildren, Rhett B, Braxton, Kevyn, Sagan, Jack, Max, Charlie, Bode, and Jake; two brothers, Doug Herendeen and Lloyd Herendeen; one sister, Diane Hinderliter and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Drusilla Monninger, and one brother, Bradley Herendeen.
There will be a gathering from 5-7 PM Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Private family burial will be at a later date.
