Wilma Ray Dailey Stamper
Wilma Ray Dailey Stamper, 70, wife of Alvin Junior Stamper for 53 years, died Friday January 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was a homemaker, former employee of Jockey International and Smalls Greenhouse of Carlisle. Wilma loved gardening especially flowers and was a member of the Lexington United Baptist Church. She loved her family and not only raised her children but was a big part of her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Junior Stamper; three children, Alvin Wayne Stamper, Jeffrey Allen (Chastity) Stamper and Julie Marie (William) Vance; ten grandchildren, Spenser Whalen, Tyler Stamper, Elizabeth (Josh) Tucker, Holli Stamper, Jessica (Christian) Cummins, Jeffrey (Andrea) Stamper, Arielle Vance, Arianna Vance, Riley Hunt and Khloe Fletcher; ten great grandchildren, Brayden Stamper, Jayden Martin, Natalie Fox, Riverlynn Tucker, Lydyah Tucker, Owen Dailey, Asher Wash, Paisley Cummins, Mekhi Roberts and Mia Cox; two brothers, Robert Dailey and Richard (Judy) Dailey; two sisters, Annie (David) Gates and Louise (Harold) Sidles and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur Dailey, Ralph Dailey and James Dailey and five sisters, Mamie Dee Mitchell, Linda Maines, Mildred Dailey, Susan Dailey and Betty Dailey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 17, 2023 at the Lexington United Baptist Church, 9477 Rockwell Rd., Lexington, KY by Bro. Dave Nichols and Bro. Ron Woodward. Burial will follow in the Paris Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday January 16, 2023 at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Stamper, Alvin Wayne Stamper, Jeffrey Stamper, Jayden Martin, Owen Dailey, Brian Holland and Tyler Stamper.
Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Cummins, William Vance, Josh Tucker, Spenser Whalen, Brayden Stamper, Asher Wash, nephews and great nephews.
