Samuel Coleman Bixler

Samuel Coleman Bixler, February 1, 1946 – January 12, 2023, passed away peacefully under hospice care at Baptist Health Hospital of Lexington. He was the youngest child of the late Allen Coleman Bixler and Geneva Edsell Williams, and has been a resident of Paris, Kentucky since early childhood. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James Bramlett Hon and Monte Ray Bixler, and his sister, Donna Kay Bixler (Vance). He is survived by his sister, Norma Hon Saltsman, two children,Vonda Lynn Blancett and Joseph Ray Toadvine, five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He owned a roofing business for several years, and roofed many homes in Bourbon County and several surrounding counties, along with doing other construction jobs such as building race horse barns and doors. He loved spending time with friends and family and fishing trips on Stoner Creek. His laugh was contagious and he had fun teasing his grandchildren and hearing stories of the funny things they would do and say.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday January 21, 2023 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM Saturday January 21, 2023 until the hour of service at the funeral home.
