Patricia Hinkle Ruh Sisson

Patricia Hinkle Ruh Sisson passed away peacefully on January 11, 2023 in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born on May 21, 1936 to Martha Susan Mains Hinkle and Richard Earl Hinkle in Bourbon County, Paris, Kentucky. Pat went to elementary and high school in Bourbon County and attended Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.
As part of Pat’s career she served as President of the Knoxville Hotel/Motel Association and Acting Director of the Easter Seal Society of East Tennessee. Until her passing Pat was an accomplished writer and lecturer with years of experience speaking to businesses, civic/government organizations, colleges, and conventions.
Pat served as a Matron of Starlight Eastern Star. Pat has been a resident of Halls Crossroads, Knoxville, Tennessee since 1965 and an active member of the Halls Business and Professional Associates. She is a life-long member of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, and Northside Christian Church on Tazewell Pike. Pat is survived by her four children Richard Reed (Anne), Marjorie Lou Ruh Jones (Steve, now deceased), Walter Edwin (Ramona) Ruh, and Susan Michelle Sisson (Rob) Gregory, six grandchildren (Courtney, David, Michael, Jonathan, Gracie, and Chase) and three great-grandchildren (Emma, Allie, and Riley). Her final resting place will be at the North Middletown Cemetery, North Middletown, Kentucky.
