Dorothy Deloris Bryant, 84, widow of John Henry Bryant, died Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center, Richmond, KY.
Born in Dorton, KY, she grew up in Jenkins, KY. She was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Rhoda Mullins Lumpkins. She was a homemaker most of her life and was a compassionate mother and grandmother.
She is survived by four children, James Edward Bryant, Chyrell Ann Bryant, Rhoda Jane Bryant, and John Howard (Kathy) Bryant; eleven grandchildren, Michele (Troy) Schlake, Ellis Michael Bryant, Miranda Bryant, Melvin Ray Dunn, Dorothy Jones (Jason) Losh, Genvea Lee Jones (Jason) Fryman, Melissa Ann Jones (Daniel) Myers, Robert Michael (Kiana) Bryant, Jamie Watson Karr, Greg (Shawnetha) Watson, and Kristin Bryant; one son in law, Mike Wadsworth
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four children, Ellis Henry Bryant, Donna Pauline Bryant Dunn, Levina Bryant Wadsworth, and Barbara Francis Bryant Perkins; four grandchildren, Austin Wayne Dunn, Katherine Marie Dunn, Tabitha Ann Perkins, and Amelia Perkins Gerber and siblings, Ellis Lumpkins, Conley Lumpkins, Bobby Lumpkins, Larry Lumpkins, Joann Gilispie, Clotene Wendt, Ruth Brandenburg, and Pauline Lumpkins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Pastor Owen Moody. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. A memorial service will follow the burial at the Willow and Sage Event Center 104 John Street, Berea, KY 40403. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday, January 27th at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Bryant, Robert Michael Bryant, Ellis Michael Bryant, Tommy Jones, Jason Losh, and Daniel Myers.
