James A. Fryman

James A. Fryman, 91, widower of the late Virginia Ann Stivers Fryman, died Thursday April 13, 2023 at his home in Millersburg, KY.
He was born in Carlisle, KY to the late Earl and Bess George Fryman. James was a retired employee of Stamler/Joy Manufacturing Company and was a former employee of Fryman’s Welding of Carlisle, KY. He loved farming and gardening until he was unable to. He also enjoyed fishing, was a member of the Carlisle Christian Church and a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War.
He is survived by two children, Susan (Clark) Short and Mark (Susan) Fryman; five grandchildren, Jake Fryman, Josh (Shasta) Fryman, Gabby (Steven) Mitchell, Melanie (Chad) Dumbris and Michael (Jamie) Short; eight great grandchildren, Corbin Fryman, Brinlee Fryman, Lawson, Fryman, Alyssa Kenney, Paige Kenney, Matthew Dumbris, Ryan Dumbris, Amelia Mitchell and one on the way, Theo Mitchell; one brother, Bobby Gene (Martha) Fryman; two brothers-in-law, Clay Livengood and Marion Stivers; special neighbors, Johnny and Nancy Caskey and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, William Fryman; three sisters-in-laws, Joan Fryman, Shirley Stivers and Imogene Livengood and one nephew, Steven Fryman.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 PM Monday April 17, 2023 at the Pruitt Funeral Home, 303 Main St., Millersburg, KY by Bro. Steve Smith. Burial followed in the Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation was from 5-8 PM Sunday April 16, 2023 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Josh Fryman, Jake Fryman, Corbin Fryman, Clark Short, Steven Mitchell, Johnny Caskey, Clay Livengood and Timmy Livengood.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Pruitt Funeral Home, 303 Main Street, Millersburg, KY.
