Reba Boggs Browning

Reba Boggs Browning, wife of Paul W. Browning of Paris, departed this life on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, South Carolina, at the age of 84 years. Reba was born on August 28, 1938, in Corbin, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Teresa Dorsey Boggs, was a graduate of Corbin High School as well as Knoxville Beauty School, a former restaurant owner, and member of Bedford Acres Christian Church. Reba was known by many in Bourbon County having worked for many years as a beautician, ran a restaurant at Bourbon Stockyards, owned and ran Browning Country Ham Restaurant in both Cynthiana and Paris, was co-owner of Browning County Hams, and Browning Outdoor Equipment. She was the former secretary and president of Lamplighters and volunteered at Bourbon Community Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy William Browning and brother, William E. Boggs.
Along with her husband Paul, she is survived by a son, Gregory Paul Browning and wife, Gwen; two grandchildren, Tamara Erin Frye, Jason Wesley Walker; great-grandchildren, Jason Walker, Jr., Matthew Frye, Alexis Walker, Christopher Frye, Emma Rose Browning, and William Bailey Browning. Also surviving are two great great-grandchildren, Aria Jayde Walker, and Emery Reign Walker.
The funeral service for Reba Boggs Browning was at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Dean Scott, with interment following in Paris cemetery. Honorary bearers were her grandchildren. Visitation began at 12:30 p.m. until time for the service.
