Donald Wayne Hyatt, 77, husband of Barbara Ann Lukins Hyatt, died Monday June 5, 2023, at the Bourbon Community Hospital, Paris, KY.
He was born in Paris, KY to the late Marion Frances Hyatt and the late Livia Belle Guy Hyatt.
Donald was a member of the River of Life Ministries, US Army Veteran and American Legion Post 257, Millersburg, KY. He was an employee of Stamler/Joy for over 42 years, after retiring he worked at Mustard Seed Hill, was also a volunteer fireman, member of the Jaycees, Boy Scout Leader and baseball and softball coach for many years.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing tennis and pickleball at the YMCA and loved spending time with his family and friends and nothing made him prouder than all of his “babies”.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Lukins Hyatt; son, Johnnie (Paula) Hyatt; daughter, Heather Hyatt (Mike) Richardson; grandchildren, Hannah Hyatt, Kaley Hyatt and Johnnie Steven Hyatt (Danielle Small); one brother, Gene (Linda) Hyatt; brother-in-law, Doug Campbell and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Tolbert E. Hyatt, James Hyatt and Norman Hyatt; two sisters, Laura M. Hyatt and Phyllis “Pat” Campbell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday June 9, 2023, at the River of Life Ministries, 616 Clintonville Rd., Paris, KY by Pastor Krista Hampton. Burial will follow in the Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday June 8, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
Pallbearers will be Scotty True, Cody Turley, Austin Turley, Bubby Lukins, Mark Tincher, Stevie Tincher, Dave Fox, Dylan Rawlings and Andy Howard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stamler/Joy Employees, Tuesday Breakfast Crew, Ray “Porky” Ham, Paul Wayne Ellington, Wayne Wagoner, Paul Tincher, Jr. and Steve Turley.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
