Christopher “Chris” Valdez Romero, 16, falleció el Miercoles 5 de Julio, 2023, en Lexington, Ky.
Nació en Lexington, Ky, vivió con sus padres Marco Antonio Robles y Juana Romero Perez. Chris estaría comenzando su último año de Preparatoria en Lafayette High School este año. Le encantaba andar en patineta y disfrutaba de esto con sus amigos muy seguido. Era un hijo amoroso, una persona bondadosa, muy respetuoso y amable con todos. Como muchos adolescentes, el disfrutaba comer en Taco Bell y Raising Canes. No le agradaba estar encerrado, deseaba estar afuera en la naturaleza. Recién había regresado de un campamento de jóvenes, al que atendió con amigos y otros miembros de Iglesia Hispana Bethel, donde también él era miembro.
Le sobreviven sus padres Marco Antonio Robles y Juana Romero Perez; una hermana. Maria Del Carmen Garcia Romero (Homero Carrillo) ; una sobrina, Jacky Garcia; dos abuelas; Guillermina Perez y Efigenia Flores; abuelo, Mauro Robles Martinez; cuatro primos, Gabriel Romero, Claudio Romero, Emmanuel Reyes y Eric Reyes y un gran número de amistades.
El servicio funerario será a la 1:00 PM Lunes, 10 de Julio, 2023, en Iglesia Hispana Bethel, 436 Fairman Rd., Lexington, KY del Pastor Alberto Carrillo. La sepultura será en seguida en Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, KY.
La visitación sera a las 11:00 AM Lunes, 10 de Julio, 2023

Christopher “Chris” Valdez Romero, 16, died Wednesday July 5, 2023, in Lexington, KY.
He was born in Lexington, KY to Marco Antonio Robles and Juana Romero Perez. Chris was going to be a Senior at Lafayette High School this coming school year. He loved skateboarding and would spend much of his time riding his skateboard with his friends. He was a loving son, a kind soul, very respectful and friendly to everyone. Like many teenagers he enjoyed Taco Bell and Raisin’ Canes. The inside did not appeal to him, because he liked the outdoors. He just returned from church camp, attending with friends and members of the Bethel Spanish Church, where he was a member also.
He is survived by his parents, Marco Antonio Robles and Juana Romero Perez; one sister, Maria Del Carmen Garcia (Homero Carrillo) Romero; one niece, Jacky Garcia; two grandmothers, Guillermina Perez and Efigenia Flores; grandfather, Mauro Robles Martinez; four cousins, Gabriel Romero, Claudio Romero, Emmanuel Reyes and Eric Reyes and a host of friends and extended family.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 PM Monday July 10, 2023, at the Bethel Spanish Church, 436 Fairman Rd., Lexington, KY by Pastor Alberto Carrillo. Burial to follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, KY.
Visitation was from 11:00 AM Monday July 10, 2023, until the hour of the service at the church.
Pallbearers at the church were Samuel Méndez, Kevin Carlos, Lemitrias Taylor, Luis Cruz, Raul Acosta, Ahmad Alghanemi, Ángel Vega Villegas, Josue Perez.
