Janet Bell Franklin

Janet Bell Franklin, wife of Barry Franklin of Paris, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, at the age of 67 years. Janet was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 11, 1956, the daughter of the late Emmett Lee and Dorothy Courtney Bell, was a graduate of Paris High School, and employed as a cashier at Wal-Mart. She was a member of the FFA Alumni of Bourbon County High School, enjoyed horseback riding in her younger years, and a member of Paris Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband Barry, she is survived by two sons, Shane Stewart (Angela) Franklin, Shawn Anthony (Missy) Franklin; seven grandchildren, Courtney Dean (Cody) Taylor, Britney Franklin, Shelby Franklin, Shane Franklin, Jr., Ashton Franklin, William Franklin, and Michael Franklin. Also surviving is one great grandson, Westen Franklin; a sister, Donna Lee (Drew) Hewlett; and a nephew, Andrew (Becky) Hewlett.
The funeral service for Janet Bell Franklin was held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with Darrell Gaunce officiating. Interment followed in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Robert Davis, Zach Thompson, Jeremiah Thompson, Timmy Franklin, Cody Taylor, and Daniel Dye. Visitation was at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, July 16, 2023, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. www.hintonturner.com
