Peggy Sue Tolson Laytart
Peggy Sue Tolson Laytart, 75, widow of the late Raymond Laytart, died Saturday September 9, 2023, at the St. Elizabeth Florence Hospital.
She was born in Paris, KY to the late Logan Wheeler Tolson and the late Christine Rudd Tolson. Peggy enjoyed gardening, cooking and doing crafts, whenever she could. She loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. For several years she was the House Mother for the Cadets at the Millersburg Military Institute.
She is survived by one son, Jeff (Rhonda) Hall; daughter-in-law, Denise Hall; three grandchildren, Shayla (Logan) Ackermann, Travis Asher and Alton Asher; three brothers, Mac Tolson, Bobby (Mildred) Tolson and Wayne (Brenda) Tolson; one sister, Wanda (Harry) Hamilton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Hall and two brothers, Paul Tolson and J.D. Tolson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday September 15, 2023, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Pastor Chad Sizemore. Burial to follow in the Millersburg Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Harry Hamilton, Logan Ackermann, Travis Asher, Alton Asher and Drey Surgener.
