Michael F. Jurgensen

Michael F. Jurgensen, age 74, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on September 13 with his two children by his side. Born on January 19, 1950 in Hartford, Connecticut, Mike was the youngest son of Emil and Stephanie (Plona) Jurgensen. He served in the United States Air Force and then transitioned into a career as a Customer Engineer with IBM, a position that he held for 42 years until his retirement in 2015. Mike is survived by his son, Brian Jurgensen of Lexington, Kentucky, daughter, Melissa Jurgensen of Paris, Kentucky, beloved cat, Menorah and brother, William (Bill) Jurgensen of Danville, Kentucky. He was pre-deceased by his parents, brother John, and his wife of nearly 45 years, Judith (Tharp) Jurgensen.
Mike was laid to rest with military funeral honors at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 18.
