George Willie Crutcher, Sr.

George Willie Crutcher, Sr., passed away after a short illness at his home in Paris, KY on October 2, 2024. He was born to the late Andrew Crutcher and Elizabeth Crutcher in Richmond, KY on February 7, 1936. George worked at Baker Iron and Metal for over 37 years. He drove the big trucks, operated cranes and later became a foreman. George could do woodworking, and he loved working on things. He was a devoted husband and father and a longtime member of Zion Baptist Church, Paris, KY. During his time at Zion Baptist, he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member.
George leaves to cherish his memory, three sons, Lee (Debra) Crutcher, George (Judy) Crutcher, Jr. and Mike (Christine) Crutcher; one daughter, Diana Carter; grandchildren, Cicely (Ryan) Stamper, Kris Carter, George Crutcher III, Courtney (Nyhma) Crutcher, Brittany (Tony) Crutcher-Powell, Casey Crutcher; great grandchildren, Liam Carter-Owens, Arya Stamper, Jorah Stamper, Darrius Crutcher, Camry Myers, Brianna Crutcher, Isaiah Crutcher and Tamara Crutcher; one sister, Nannie Oliver; one sister-in-law, Peggy Brooks; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Martha of 70 years; one son, Jeffrey Wayne Crutcher; two grandchildren, Troy Crutcher and Christopher Bishop; son-in-law, Ronnie Carter; 8 siblings; 5 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday October 12, 2024, at Zion Baptist Church, 312 West 8th St., Paris, KY by Rev. James Thurman and Rev. George Crutcher, Jr. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Saturday October 12, 2024, until the hour of service at the church.
The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
