Peggy Long Cartmill

Peggy Long Cartmill, 82, wife of Frank Cartmill for 60 years, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at UK Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born November 25, 1941, she was a native of Bourbon County, a retired insurance agent with Powell-Walton-Milward in Lexington, and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Peggy enjoyed working in her garden, was a talented artist and spent her spare time relaxing, watching her favorite game shows and crime shows. Upon retirement she volunteered at the Bargain Box.
Also left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Dana Cartmill (Roger) Wilson of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Kayla Wilson and Tyler Wilson; and a great-grandson, Remington Cole, her sister, Toni (Lew) Sharp of Paris along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Gladys Collins Bowling, and a sister, Ann Collins.
A memorial service wii be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 12th at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) officiated by Rev. Rachele Holmes. Private inurnment will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. Sunday until the time of service.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Mathers-Gaunce F.H.

    So sorry for your loss. I became acquainted with Peggy thru the Bargain Box. She was always so sweet
