Maxine Frances Avery

Maxine Frances Avery, 89, of Millersburg, Kentucky, passed peacefully away in her sleep on Monday October 7, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill. She was born in Bourbon County, Kentucky in 1935 to William and Lottie Belle Mason. She resided in Millersburg all of her life.
Maxine lit up the room with her smile and laughter and was a source of peace and comfort to everyone around her. She was a devoted mother of five sons, Shepherd William Avery, Carlton Kent Bean, Jeffery Dean Avery, Patrick Mason Avery Sr. and Kevin Eugene Avery. Maxine worked and retired from Jockey in Carlisle, Ky after over 20 yrs of service. She went on to pursue her passion of cooking at Bourbon Heights in Paris, KY. After many years of sharing her love of cooking with the employees and residents of Bourbon Heights, she retired from there as well. Besides spending time with her family, cooking, and sewing, one of her most special hobbies was collecting unique salt and pepper shakers in which she collected from her love of travelling to different places.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Shepherd William Avery, Carlton Kent Bean, Jeffery Dean Avery, and Patrick Mason Avery Sr., nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of friends and extended family. All will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
Maxine was preceded in death by her son Kevin Eugene Avery, her sisters Rochelle Jenkins and Barbara Hill and her parents.
Maxine’s services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday October 15, 2024, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
