Dianna Lynn Zimmerman Ramsay, 61, loving wife of Scott William Ramsay of Paris, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Dianna was born on October 1, 1963, in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of Margaret Good Zimmerman and the late Richard Zimmerman. Along with her husband Scott, Dianna is survived by their two children whom she adored, Scott Andrew Ramsay and Heather Marie Ramsay. Also surviving are two sisters, Debra (Herman) Gray, Robbin Zimmerman; two sisters-in-law, Kay (George) Hofmeister, and Lisa Zimmerman, wife of Dianna’s brother Scott Zimmerman, who preceded her in death.
Dianna was a 1981 graduate of Salem, Ohio High School, and a 1985 graduate of Malone College where she received her bachelor’s degree. She taught preschool, elementary school and adult education before taking time off to raise her beloved children. She had a lifelong dream of becoming a nurse and graduated in 2017 from Kentucky Community Technical College as an RN. During her nursing career, she worked at Bourbon Heights Assisted Living Facility, St. Joseph Hospital, and Norton Audubon Hospital.
She was a Bourbon County Master Gardener, a member of the First Methodist Church of Paris, a member of the Mom’s Club, was an active volunteer in Vacation Bible School, the local Backpack Ministry, and the Kings for Christ Project.
She loved her family, friends, coworkers, neighbors and community. She had an everlasting faith and treated people with absolute kindness and compassion. She faced her own illness with courage, determination and optimism, and was an example to us all of a life well lived.
On Saturday, April 5, we will celebrate Dianna’s life at the First Methodist Church, 617 Pleasant Street in Paris, KY, with a gathering of family and friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Ken Southgate. Inurnment will follow at a later date in her hometown of Salem, Ohio.
