Henry Edward Henson

Henry Edward Henson, 80, of Lexington, KY, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 2, 2025. He was born December 17, 1944 to the late Edward and Martha Edgington Henson. Henry was an IBM employee and was an over the road truck driver for many years. He was married to Betty Potter Henson, and was her caregiver until she preceded him in death on March 1, 2025. Henry was of Christian faith and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Henry is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Joelle Henson, and their children, John (Hannah) Johnson and Samantha Johnson, all of Lexington, KY. Also surviving are his brother, Bill (Gwenkie) Henson, North Middletown, KY, sister, Alma (Bill) Redmon, Cynthiana, Ky, brother-in-law, Earl Sosby, Jr., Paris,Ky, along with nieces, great nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by two sisters, Sara Henson Price and Jean Henson Sosby and brother-in-law, Jerry Price.
The family would like to thank Henry and Betty’s friends, Virginia and Craig Courtney, for all their support during this difficult time. A special thanks to Becky Slone, their caregiver.
