Edith Adams Treadway
Edith Adams Treadway, age 97, a retired employee of Square D, wife of Banford Treadway, died Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 4, 1928 in Yeaddiss, Kentucky in Leslie County, daughter of the late Toy and Dallie Shepherd Adams. Edith was a member of Revival Tabernacle and loved doing housework.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Banford Treadway; daughter, Sheila Joan Clark (William) Benton; two grandchildren, Jeffery Max Treadway, Michelle Reffitt; sister, Opha Sebastian; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Reffitt Treadway; brothers-in-law, Jim Shepherd, Archie Treadway; sisters-in-law, Adeline Adams, Dolly Lovings; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by two sons, Michael B. Treadway, Jeffery Alan Treadway; son-in-law, Charles Dennis Clark; siblings, Mavie Adams, Homer Adams, Helen Shepherd, Berniece and Lee Roy Fields, Lillian and Leo Wells, Leonard and Katie Adams, Walter Adams; brothers-in-law, Henry Sebastian, Merle Treadway, James McKinney, E.C. Lovings; and sisters-in-law, Clair Treadway and Mildred McKinney.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Revival Tabernacle, 1820 Versailles Road, Lexington, Kentucky followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Gary Ward officiating.
