Betty Jean Foster Ogle
Betty Jean Foster Ogle, widow of Rodney Ogle, departed this life on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born on December 19, 1934, the daughter of the late Shelby P. Rogers and Susan G. (Fred) Foster Smith; was a high school graduate and dedicated Christian, being a member of First Baptist Church. She spent her lifetime being a dedicated wife and mother, cooking delicious meals, becoming a great seamstress, as well as enjoying time crocheting, all the while being a supporter of many charitable organizations. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Jason Wagoner, Daniel Hurst; siblings, Wesley Foster, Gary Smith; and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Perkins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, daughters, Kimberly (Kenny) Hurst, Lori (Steve) Wagoner; a son, Michael Ellis; grandchildren, Kelli Hurst, and Krista Hurst (Jeremy) Wilson. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Danielle Hurst, Megan Carpenter, Donavon Carpenter, A’ylana Jackson, Oliver Wilson, Leona Wilson, Salem Wilson; siblings, Louise Knight, Sharon (Billy) Brown, Robert Shelton; several nieces and nephews; and a very special loved one, Joann Carpenter.
The visitation for Betty Jean Foster Ogle will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with service to follow at 12 noon, Pastor Garrol Finch officiating. Interment will follow in Paris cemetery with casket bearers being Kenny Hurst, Steve Wagoner, Jeremy Wilson, Danny Carter, Chris Brown, and Robert Wagoner.
