Rosie B. Dotson

Rosie B. Dotson, age 82 of Winchester, wife of William “Buddy” Dotson, departed this life on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky. Rosie was born in Neon, Kentucky on March 5, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph and Goldie Mae Newman Sparks, was a 1961 Bourbon County High School graduate, and a retired bus driver for Clark County. Rosie was a huge supporter of the George Rogers Clark Band Boosters as well as a Box Mom, loved Bingo, and she, along with her husband and others, helped to start the Clark County Music Alumni Association where many scholarships have been granted to local students. Above all, she loved to host her family and take care of others.
In addition to her husband Buddy, she is survived by her daughter, Hope Dotson (Keith) Brooks of North Carolina; a son, Kevin (Kelly) Dotson of Winchester; grandchildren, Alexandra Brooks, Ashley Brooks, Johnathan Dotson, Katlynn Dotson, Kevin Dotson, Jr., and William J. Dotson. Also surviving are her step grandchildren, Travis Renner, Katilynn Renner, Allyson Renner; a sister, Fannie Wright; a niece Dorothy “Dottie” Barnett, as well as several additional nieces, nephews and cousins.
The visitation for Rosie B. Dotson will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m., Celebrant Sharon L. Berry officiating. A private interment will follow.
