Catherine Maxine Hedges Craig

Catherine Maxine Hedges Craig, age 88, widow of Harry Craig, died Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was born January 28, 1937 in Paris, daughter of the late William Henry and Ada Lee Conyers Hedges. After graduating from Bourbon County Vocational School, Catherine began her career with South Central Bell retiring as a customer service representative. She then went to work with the local tobacco market, Ken’s New Market, and finally at Lil’s Coffee Shop where she was well known for her pies, showcasing her love of cooking. Catherine was an active member of Little Rock Christian Church, attending all of the Bible studies and involved in many aspects of the church.
She is survived by a daughter, Patty (Roger) Caswell; granddaughter, Amy (Mike) Hardin; grandson, Adam (Rachel) Caswell; four great grandchildren, J.W. Hardin, Esther Caswell, Everly Caswell, Henry Caswell; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings.
Visitation were 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. Funeral service was 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025 at the funeral home with Rev. Rex Graham officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Casket bearers were Adam Caswell, Mike Hardin, Marion Berry, Kerry Elliott, Joel Schoolar, and Jon Beaton.
