Danny Murrell Poe

Danny Murrell Poe 76 passed away January 3, 2026. He was born in Nicholas County on August 15, 1949, to the late Raymond S. Poe and Anna B. Vaughn Poe Alley.
He was a long-time employee for Stamler Olingburg and Joy for thirty-seven years and Bluegrass Knitting for nine years. He was a member of Blue Licks Farmers Market and avid farm tobacco hand; he also enjoyed his wife’s candy making. He is survived by his wife Betty Gates Poe, two sons Charles Thomas Poe and Jason D. Poe, and a brother Tom (Anita) Poe. He was preceded in death by his first wife Charlotte E. Fisher, two brothers William Poe and Ricky Poe, a sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Marvin Osborn and a stepson David A. Dryden.
By Mr. Poe’s request, funeral services will be private. Carlisle-Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
