Charles Virgil Slone

Charles Virgil Slone, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Hospice Care Center. He was born March 11, 1941 in Woodford County, Kentucky, son of the late Charley and Lucille Slone. Charles attended Bourbon County High School, retired from Square D Company, Lexington, Kentucky where he worked for 43 years, and loved playing golf and gardening.
He is survived by wife of 64 years, Geri Brooks Slone; children Ada Slone and Lisa (Gary) Haynes; grandchildren Jayson Perkins, Allyson Perkins, Christian Haynes, Logan Haynes, Lindsay (Luke) Arthur; and great granddaughter Laramie Haynes Arthur. Charles is also survived by siblings Shirley Storie, Tootie Denny, Teresa Slone, Charlene Deatherage and Prentice Slone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
