Rose Marie Rankin
Rose Marie Rankin, born on October 20, 1950, in Bourbon County, to the late Beauford and Irene Bland Rankin, passed away on March 27, 2026, in Carlisle, Kentucky, leaving behind a life remembered with love, faith, and devotion to family and community.
She lived her life with quiet strength and a gentle spirit, carrying herself with the kind of grace that touched everyone who knew her. Rose was a proud high school graduate, and throughout her life she valued the lessons of hard work, respect, and perseverance. Her Christian faith was an important part of who she was, and it guided the way she treated others with kindness, patience, and compassion.
Rose found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. She was a devoted member of Paris 7th Street Christian Church, where her faith and fellowship were a source of comfort and purpose. Her presence in the church family was appreciated by many, and she was known as someone who could be counted on for encouragement, warmth, and a sincere heart. She carried her beliefs not only in words, but in the way she lived each day.
Family was at the center of Rose’s life, and she cherished the bonds she shared with those she loved. She is survived by her son, Raymond Jones; her daughter, Gena Stowers and Tim; and her sister, Irene Rankin. These family members will forever hold close memories of her love, her wisdom, and her steadfast support. Her influence will remain woven into the lives of those who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James Rankin, whose memory remained a part of her family’s story. Rose’s life was shaped by the people she loved and the values she held dear, and she leaves behind a legacy of devotion that will continue to be remembered with gratitude and affection.
Those who knew Rose will remember her for her sincerity, her gentle manner, and the care she extended to others. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Dr. Morgan Gilkey, at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St. Paris, KY. Burial is in the Evergreen Memory Gardens, Paris, KY. Visitation will be Saturday April 4th, 2026,10:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Michael Jackson, Jonathan Jones, Jayson Page, Ronald Stowers, Gene Jones, and Jamal Stowers.
