Carrie Jean Anderson

Carrie Jean Anderson, 87, passed away on April 14, 2026. She was born on May 26, 1938, in Carlisle, Kentucky, and lived a life marked by kindness, love, and steady devotion to the people and places that mattered most to her.
Carrie was a Christian and a member of Stoney Creek Christian Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and reflected the gentle spirit with which she met each day. She was known as a kind and loving woman whose presence brought comfort to those around her. Carrie had a warm heart and a thoughtful nature, and she showed her care in simple but meaningful ways throughout her life.
She retired from Easy Gardner in Paris, Kentucky, after years of hard work and dedication. Carrie was a hardworking woman who often worked in tobacco, and she carried that same strong work ethic into every part of her life. She took pride in doing what needed to be done and was respected for her dependable and steady character. Even in the midst of her busy life, she always found time to think of others. She was especially known for sending cards to family and friends so they would know she cared, a small gesture that spoke volumes about the depth of her love.
Carrie was also a devoted fan of the UK Wildcats basketball team. She enjoyed following the games and cheering for her team, and her enthusiasm for Kentucky basketball was one of the many things that brought her joy. Her interests and daily habits reflected a life lived with sincerity, loyalty, and heart.
She is survived by her two brothers, Sam Anderson and his wife, Clarine, and Raymond Anderson, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lute and Edna Allen Snapp Anderson; two brothers, William “G.P.” Anderson and Lloyd William Anderson; two sisters, Ruby Trussell and Sally Anderson; two half brothers, James Anderson and Adrian Anderson; and two half-sisters, Lizzie Mae Livingood and Thelma McCord.
Carrie Jean Anderson will be remembered for her loving nature, her strong work ethic, and the quiet ways she showed her care for others. Her family and friends will hold close the many memories of her kindness, her faith, and her steadfast presence. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and thoughtfulness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
