Nina C. Parsons
Nina C. Parsons, age 82, wife of 66 years to Clyde Parsons, died Friday, April 17, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 24, 1943 in Bourbon County, daughter of the late Charles L. and Lizzie B. Fryman Plummer, a graduate of Bourbon County High School, and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the Paris Lioness Club.
Miss Nina was legendary for her baking skills, creating countless beautiful cakes for weddings, birthdays, or any other special occasion. She also helped nurture numerous children in the community with her home childcare. She was an avid reader and lover of Coca-Cola.
Nina is survived by her husband, Clyde; two daughters, Kathi (Clark) Parsons-Ring, Kelli (Dale) Richardson; a son, Brad (Shannon) Parsons; grandsons, Logan Parsons, Orrin Richardson, Tell Richardson, Tyrel Richardson, Traven Richardson, Caleb Parsons, Colby Parsons; granddaughters, Courtney (Jeremy) Douglas, Kendra Douglas; and a brother, Charles Plummer Jr. In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by two sons, Barry Parsons, Todd Parsons, and a brother, James Plummer.
Visitation was 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with David Mefford and John Plummer officiating. Interment was in the Paris Cemetery. Her grandchildren served as casket bearers.
