Don’t Miss Out! Enjoy the 4th of July Fireworks!

“We are grateful to have the opportunity to present the 2026 Paris and Bourbon County firework show! This year has a significant undertone as we celebrate the nations 250th anniversary – it is our goal and objective to relay this message through the use of pyrotechnics,” said Sam Harney (Lead Pyrotechnician). Pyrotechnics share a rich history in celebrating different events or moments of history. Specifically; fireworks, which often draws our minds to these lines in our national anthem:

“O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro’ the night that our flag was still there.”

This year Sam Harney and his team are excited to announce that the show will present over 5,000 aerial breaks that will illuminate the night sky starting at 10:00 p.m.

Additionally, they cannot express the importance of safety enough. Thornberry Way (off Legion Drive) will be closed Saturday, July 4th to emergency personnel and pyrotechnicians. The areas listed above have been granted enough clearance for the safety of all in attendance.

Following the graphic below – the best viewing area will be located at Legion Park looking towards the “Firing Zone”. They invite people to join the festivities happening that day in Legion Park and to enjoy the show from a spectator area suited to the public.

(Note: Garrard Park and other areas will not allow viewers to see the full display as it has been designed)

We hope that you find yourself along with family and friends at Legion Park this 4th of July to celebrate this monumental day as a community!
