William E. Jackson
William E. Jackson, born on November 11, 1932, a three‑medal Korean War veteran, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was the son of Henry S. Jackson and Amanda Butler of Donald’s, South Carolina. His first wife Monica Green Jackson proceeded him in death. William is survived by his siblings Eunivester Dinwiddle, Sherman Jackson, and Irma Patterson (H. James). He is also survived by his children, daughter Helen Ford (H. Robin) and son Wayne Jackson (W. Zeenat Chowdry).
His grandchildren include Nneka Al‑Mahdi, Robin Al‑Mahdi II (wife Stacey), and Jalon Jackson. Great‑grandchildren: Adam, Crystal, Raine, Ryan, Kayden, and Kairo, long term companion Elizabeth Washington, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We celebrate his longevity, his dedicated service to his country, and his unflinching love for family.
A celebration of the life of William Earl Jackson will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday July 17, 2026, by Rev. William Allen at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. The inurnment will follow after the service at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM Friday July 17, 2026, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
