David Prentice Wills

It is with profound grief that the Wills family announces the sudden passing of David Prentice Wills at the age of 60. David passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12 surrounded by loving family. His last moments were filled with warm gestures, favorite music, and words of affirmation.
David was born on May 19, 1966 in Lakewood, Ohio to Bob and Alice Wills hailing from Kentucky. The family later moved to Rocky River, Ohio. David’s later stories of shared childhood memories were a wonderful part of his family visits. As an adult, David centered his life in the Atlanta, Georgia area where he grew his family.
David developed his passion for music around high school age and continued that love throughout his life. His musical taste was eclectic and ever-changing. This was a lifelong cornerstone, far exceeding his love of history, amusement parks and waterfall adventures.
While these passions were his cornerstone, his love of family was his foundation. David’s thoughts and feelings were first and foremost involving his family. He felt deeply and sensitively in reference to both his responsibility as a father, as well as his pride in his sons. David’s conversations invariably circled back to talking about his boys. All of David’s family were blessed by his intense thoughtfulness. He was a father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle. The whole family has yet to, even in part, grasp the great loss they have suffered.
David is survived by his former wife, Denise Franta, sons Barrett and Braden Wills, parents, Bob and Alice Wills, sister, Kristin Fujita, granddaughter, Sophia Wills, niece, Heather Justice and nephew, Spencer Anderson.
A private family memorial service will take place in Paris Kentucky, the hometown of our Wills family.
