Michael Lee McCord

Michael Lee McCord, 72, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Born February 12, 1954 in Fleming County to the late Samuel Morton and Martha Marie Jarvis McCord, he was a retired employee of Jockey Knitting. Mike absolutely loved spending time outdoors working in his gardens, both flower and vegetable, and took great pride in his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Delores Herrington McCord of Sharpsburg; three children: Hannah McCord (Bradley Hunt) of Carlisle, and William Lloyd Morton McCord and Diana Pearl Michell McCord, both of Sharpsburg; two brothers, Steven McCord of Flemingsburg and Kenneth McCord of College Station, Texas; a sister, Susan (Cecil) Wilson of Flemingsburg; and two grandchildren, Remington Lane McCord and Owen Reed Hunt, along with a large extended family.
Also preceding him in death were three brothers: Ronald, Wayne and Edgar Dean “Sonny” McCord; and a sister, Judy McCord Fryman.
In accordance with his wishes, Mike will be cremated with no formal services.
