Carolyn Atchison Walls

Carolyn Atchison Walls, widow of John Robert Walls, age 86, departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at her home. Carolyn was born in Paris, Kentucky on November 20, 1939, the daughter of the late Robert Fielding and Frances Collins Case Atchison, was a graduate of Bourbon County High School, a member of Bourbon County Homemakers, and a longtime member of Clintonville Christian Church. When time allowed, she enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, and researching genealogy. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Elwood “Bobby” Atchison.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa (Quentin) Wilson; sons, John Mark (Lisa) Walls, James Michael (Robin) Walls; grandchildren, Matthew Clark (Sarah Beth) Walls, Brock (Briona) Wilson, Andrew (Emily) Walls, Courtney (Cameron) Mosley, Josh (Taber) Walls, Carly (Andy) DeRossett, and Mackenzie Walls. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Hudson Walls, John Clark Walls, Katherine Kirk Walls, Grayson Walls, Beau Walls, Riley DeRossett, Baylor DeRossett, Gabriel Wilson, Avery Mosley, Westen Mosley, Berkley Mosley, Georgia Mosley; a twin sister, Marilyn Caudell; and a brother, William Eugene “Billy” Atchison.
The funeral service for Carolyn Atchison Walls was held at Clintonville Christian Church, Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Charles H. Kemp officiating. Interment followed in North Middletown Cemetery with casket bearers being her grandchildren, Matthew Walls, Brock Wilson, Andrew Walls, Courtney Wilson, and Carly Walls. Honorary bearers are Danny Hatton, Don Redmon, Billy Purcell, Jeremy Baker, Vincent Vaughn, Bradley Purcell, and Wesley Purcell. Visitation began at 9:00 a.m. at the church until time for the service.
