Francis Charles “Chuck” Johnston

Francis Charles “Chuck” Johnston, 75, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026. Born February 10, 1951, in Paris, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Thomas and Nelle Johnston.
In addition to his father and mother, Chuck was preceded in death by two sisters: Judith Lee Yellman and Nancy Norris.
Chuck was a United States Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was also a retired mobile technician from Kentucky Utilities, where he was often called a “legend.” Meanwhile, he was a gifted, skilled woodworker.
Chuck leaves behind his beloved family: his loving wife of 25 years, Kathy Johnston, Amy (Al), Olin, Avery, Addi, and Ava; and his sisters: Jean Ellen Newton (Anthony) and Rebecca M. McGee (Virgil). He is also survived by his special pal, his German Shepherd dog, Nene Jeannene.
Chuck was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life was held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, September 3, 2026, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Visitation was held from 1 – 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
