Matthew Brett Wolfe, 44, born on December 29, 1981, in Lexington, Kentucky, passed away on September 1, 2026, leaving behind a life remembered with love, devotion, and many cherished memories. He was known by those who loved him as a kind-hearted man whose presence brought warmth to his family and friends. Matthew lived his life with a quiet strength and a deep love for the people and things that mattered most to him.
Matthew was a graduate of Bourbon County High School and carried with him the values and experiences that shaped him throughout his life. He was formerly employed by Walmart, where he was known as a dependable worker and a familiar face to those around him. He also attended Central Baptist Church, where he found fellowship and a sense of community. Matthew valued connection and remained grounded in the relationships and places that were meaningful to him.
He especially enjoyed watching and attending Generation Next Pro Wrestling, and he found great enjoyment in horror movies. These interests brought him happiness and gave him moments of excitement and entertainment that he truly appreciated. He also loved his cat, who was a beloved companion and a source of comfort in his daily life. Matthew’s interests reflected his personality and the simple joys that made him smile.
Matthew is survived by his father, Herbert Wolfe of Paris; his son, Brayden Wolfe; his brother, Billy Joe Crump and his wife Valerie; his sister, Erin Moore and her husband Chris; and his nieces and nephews, Tyler Moore, Allyson Moore, Hailey Crump, and Natalie Crump and his wife that became a special friend, Savanna Wolfe. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will remember him with affection and gratitude for the time they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Williams Wolfe, and his children, Keynan Andrew Wolfe and Kamryn Shea Wolfe. Their memories remained close to his heart, and they were an important part of his life story. Matthew carried both joy and sorrow with him, and those who knew him understood the depth of his love for his family.
Matthew Brett Wolfe will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the things that brought him happiness, and the lasting impression he made on those around him. His life was one of connection, loyalty, and enduring love. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday September 9, 2026, at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Visitation was from 10-11 AM Wednesday September 9, 2026 at the funeral home.
