Rev. W.M. Edmond Singleton, Sr.

Rev. W.M. Edmond Singleton, Sr., known as Bro. Billy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 30, 2026, at 6:45 p.m. He was born on October 22, 1935, to the late Alvin and Eliza Singleton.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
Bro. Billy is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Agnes Taylor Singleton; his son, Eddie Singleton; and his grandson, Will Singleton, who were the loves of his life.
He faithfully served the Lord as a minister beginning in 1972. In 1989, he moved to Paris, Kentucky, to pastor and later served as pastor of Trinity First Church of God, where he faithfully ministered for 30 years. His life of faith began in June of 1960 when Nazarene pastor Bro. Estepp of Danville led him to Jesus.
Before entering full-time ministry, Bro. Billy worked at Corning Glass and Phillips in Danville for 35 years before taking early retirement in the 1990s.
Bro. Billy loved traveling with his family and was blessed to visit all 50 states with his wife and grandson, Will. He also enjoyed cruises to Alaska and Hawaii with his son, Eddie.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and church family. His loved ones find comfort in knowing he is now with his Lord and look forward to a great reunion day in Heaven.
Funeral service was 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Lester officiated. Burial followed in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation was from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Will Singleton, Bruce Singleton, Claude Singleton, Roger Singleton, Charles Singleton, and Conner Fletcher.
