Charlotte Sue Shaffer George

Charlotte Sue Shaffer George, age 71, of Paris, passed away on Sept. 21, 2026. She was born on Sept. 26, 1954, in Dayton, Ohio, and lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a deep commitment to her family.
Charlotte was the beloved wife of Roger H. George for 55 years, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter and lasting memories. She was a devoted mother to Edward Litton George and his wife Roxanne, Travis Litton George and his wife Kelli, and Matthew Litton George and his wife Vanessa. She took great pride in her family and cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren, Alexus Orand, Taylor George, Katrynn George, Cameron George, Samuel George, Kaylee George and Hannah George, brought her tremendous joy and were a treasured part of her life.
She is also survived by her sisters Wilma Griffith and Janet Baker. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Flora Meadors Shaffer, and by her sister Joanne Rhinehart. Her family was the center of her world, and she carried their love with her throughout her life.
Charlotte was a graduate of LaSalle High School in Hampton, Virginia. After completing her education, she devoted herself to her home and family as a housewife, a role she embraced with grace and dedication.
She especially enjoyed raising her boys, whom she loved dearly, and she found fulfillment in the everyday moments that made up a life well lived. Her care, patience and steady presence were a blessing to those who knew her best.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoyed simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She loved drives in the country and found peace in the beauty of the open road and the changing scenery. She enjoyed reading books and traveling to Bluegrass festivals, where she appreciated the music and the fellowship.
She also treasured Facetiming with her grandchildren and spending time with her family, which remained her greatest joy throughout her life.
Charlotte will be remembered for her kind heart, her devotion to those she loved, and the quiet strength she showed in every season of life. She leaves behind a legacy of family love, cherished memories, and a life centered on the people who meant the most to her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
