Frances Jane Doyle Duncan

Frances Jane Doyle Duncan, age 91 of Paris, KY, went to be with her Lord on September 26, 2026 at the Willows in Lexington, KY. She was born in Bourbon County June 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Cecil and Katherine Brannock Doyle.
She graduated from Transylvania University in 1957; also doing graduate work at Morehead State and the University of Kentucky. She was a teacher in the Paris City School System for 30 years and then was a substitute teacher for 20 years after retirement. Jane was a life-long active member of the First Christian Church of Paris, where she taught Sunday School for several years. She was active in the Central Kentucky Education Association, Retired Teachers Association, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and a Kentucky Colonel. In 1969 her name appeared in Outstanding Young Women of America.
Jane had a genuine, caring interest in her friends and former students, and a deep love for her family. Hospitality was important to her and she always made people feel welcome and at home wherever she was. Jane was a blessing to all who knew her. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William R. Duncan, and her sister Betsy Doyle Brown. She is survived by one nephew, Dr. Garnett Brown III, his wife April, and their daughters Katherine Brown and Hannah (Elijah) Cardona. A visitation will be held at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Paris on October 3rd from 10:00-11:00 with funeral immediately following.
