Jonathan Lane Conkright

Jonathan Lane Conkright, known lovingly to many as John or John John, passed away on September 26, 2026, at the age of 41. He was born on July 9, 1985, and lived a life marked by devotion to family, a generous spirit, and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Jonathan was a construction worker by trade, and he approached his work with the same strength, determination, and dependability that he brought to every part of his life. He was the kind of man who could be counted on, and he earned the respect of those around him through his hard work and steady presence. Beyond his work, he was known as a true people person who was funny, outgoing, and full of life. He had a wild streak that made him unforgettable, but above all, he had a heart that was open and giving. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, and he loved his family deeply.
Jonathan especially cherished time spent with those he loved. He enjoyed fishing and found joy in being surrounded by family and friends. His happiest moments were often the simplest ones, filled with laughter, conversation, and the comfort of being together. His love for his family was evident in all he did, and that love will remain a treasured part of his memory.
He is survived by his wife, Bobby Conkright; his children, Whitney Ballard, Brandon Hardin, Sarah Conkright, Landon Hardin, and Breanna Conkright; his stepchildren, John and Julie Salyer and Carlee Burton; his grandson, Abonis Brown; his parents, Tony Wireman and Ethel Conkright Miller; his stepfather, Harry Miller; his stepmother, Tracy Wireman; his brothers, Tony Conkright, Timothy Conkright, Robert Conkright, and Anthony Combs; his sisters, Krystal Thornsburg and Autumn Wireman; his maternal grandmother, Alpha Herrington; as well as several nieces, nephews, a great niece, and many aunts and uncles who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Conkright; his paternal grandmother, Wilma Wireman; his paternal grandfather, Buster Smith; and by Leonard Conkright and George Wireman. Their memories, along with Jonathan’s, will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved them.
Jonathan Lane Conkright will be remembered for his big personality, his loyal heart, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a legacy of family devotion, friendship, and kindness that will not be forgotten. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will remain with all who were blessed to know him.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday October 2, 2026, by Bro. Gary Stith at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY.
Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Friday October 2, 2026 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ritchie, Jeremy Guance, Tony Conkright, Robert Conkright, Timmothy Conkright, Gregory Smith and Bradley Smith.
