Donald Carrol Kerby
Donald Carrol Kerby, 77, husband of Connie Jones Kerby for 40 years, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Bourbon Heights.
Born to Charles Raymond Kerby and Eulah Eileen Boyd Kerby on October 31, 1941 in Louisville, KY.
Don retired from Bourbon Community Hospital as Radiology Technologist after 43 years. He was a member of Bedford Acres Christian Church. He loved his Lord, loved playing the trumpet in churches and for his son’s baseball games. Also, he played the taps at many funerals. He also had a great love for ‘56 Chevys and any old car.
Besides his wife, Don is survived by a loving son, Jamie (Sarah) Kerby, twin brother, Richard (Linda) Kerby, a sister, Cindy (George) Hinkle, his mother-in-law, Marie Jones, brother-in-law, Mike Jones and special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were his father-in-law, Walter V. Jones, Jr. and several special aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2019 at Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Jim Hutchison. Burial will be in the Clintonville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday, September 26th at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Jones, Chuck Burke, Todd Yazell, Monte King, Jimmy Eakins, Eddie Richard, Steve Fightmaster and Robin Parker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Murray West, Jim Pry, Dan Yates, Raymond Kitchen, Robert Brannock, Michael Parker, Eric Hash, Nick Spalding, Clay Hutchison, Matt Reed, Jimbo Moore and Kent Jones.
Special thanks to Dr. Murray West for all his care and support during Don’s illness. Also thanks to Bourbon Heights and Hospice of the Bluegrass.
