Melvin Jay Mynear, 55, husband of Cindy Mynear, died Friday November 29, 2019 at the St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY.
A native of Nicholas County, KY, he was the son of Lowell Jay Mynear and the late Dorothy Ellen Sadler Mynear. He was a Martin’s Sanitation employee and a former horseman at Claiborne Farms.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was also survived by three children, Micheal Jay Mynear, James Dorse Stamper, Jr. and Shawnaline Reena; four siblings, Ronnie and Hazel Mynear, Judy Sexton, Shirley and Wayne Clem and Jimmy and Jenny Mynear; three grandchildren, Preston Wayne Curtis, Savannah Marie Curtis and Callie Larie Mynear; nieces and nephews, Carl and Samantha Sexton, Stephanie Sexton, Dorothy Jean Clem, Amanda Neil Mynear, James Allen Mynear, Stephen Jay Mynear and Tracy Mynear and several cousins.
Funeral services were conducted at 12:00 PM Wednesday December 4, 2019 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Don Jolly. Burial will follow in the Clintoville Cemetery.
Visitation was from 5-8PM Tuesday December 3, 2019 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Ricky Roe, Kevin Thornton, Jerry Noble, J.T. Fite, Keith Hager and Mikey Bolanos.
Honorary pallbearers were Carl Sexton, Dean McFarland, Jerry Richardson.
