“We learned this evening that Bourbon County has it’s first positive case of COVID 19. Please be assured that your local health department along with our community partners are working very hard to keep our community healthy and safe. The community has already taken significant measures to help slow the spread of the virus by closing the schools and postponing or canceling large public events. It’s important to remember that prevention measures are the best protection against the virus. Please remember to wash your hands often, stay home when sick, cover your cough, and social distancing of greater than 6ft. are the best prevention strategies.
