PAWS Animal Shelter Will Be Closed Until March 29

Following the recommendations made by Governor Andy Beshear and the CDC in regards to COVID-19, the shelter (PAWS) will remain closed from today March 14th through March 29th.

With our local public schools being closed, we anticipate more of our community members wishing to visit the shelter. In order to assist our county in helping prevent the spread of illness, we will only allow those with scheduled appointments to visit the shelter.

As we continue to monitor the situation, we will continue doing adoptions through our offsite location at Petsmart in Hamburg (cats are everyday, dogs are on weekends) and Pet Supermarket. We will also continue posting photos of animals available for adoption on our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, PetFinder). We ask anyone wishing to visit the shelter for adoptions or any other services to please contact us ahead of time at (859) 988-9800 as we will NOT be open for the general public.

If you have found or lost an animal, please be sure to reach out to us by calling, as well as emailing/messaging us any photos and information. We also highly recommend posting on the Lost and Found Pets of Paris, Kentucky page as it is viewed by many members in our community.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and support. Although our shelter may not be at normal operating hours, our animals will continue to be our top priority.
