Bourbon County Fiscal Court Declares Emergency
In a special called meeting held Sunday, March 15, the Bourbon County Fiscal Court declared an emergency for Bourbon County relating to the Coronavirus. The declaration would allow the Bourbon County Judge to spend up to $20,000 relating to virus matter.
Fiscal court members, Andrea Brown of the Bourbon County Health Department, State Representative Matt Koch along with city officials, magistrates and other local government figures were present to discuss the reaction to the virus in Bourbon County. More details of the meeting to be announced soon.
What took so long to react?
They waited until someone died from complications of the virus before they did anything. Pretty sad!!!
Teri, that’s the dumbest reply I’ve heard in a while.
Thank you all for taking the time and energy it takes to deal with this issue along with all the negative people that think they can do better. I understand there is so many moving parts to this whole situation. Wish everyone understood that.
Thank you, Madonna….stay well!
I get the fact that people are scared, frustrated and want to immediately put down those people we dually elected as our official representatives, but acting like spoiled children throwing a temper tantrum and the blame game doesn’t help. If you think you could do a better job then I want to see your name on the next ballot to become one of these elected officials. Our small city and county has to rely on the State and Federal government to help us. You cannot consider this issue to get solved as fast as instant gratification like your microwave meal. I’m anxiously waiting as should everyone for one of the 20 medical labs that are racing to find the vaccine and cure. Until then work on keeping you negative attitude to yourself because it doesn’t help anyone.
