Paris Independent Offers Distance Learning Until September 28

Governor announced at his press conference Monday that he is recommending that no in-person classes should take place until September 28th at the earliest.
Originally, the Paris Independent Schools had offered an option to learn in person or virtually.
“We will follow this recommendation,” stated Paris City School Superintendent Stephen McCauley in a letter to students and parents yesterday. “We will begin school on August 26th with all students in the Greyhound Academy with an eye on welcoming our in-person students on September 28th,” he said.
“Throughout this whole process, we’ve been a plan….” McCauley told WKYT-TV news, and our team has done a great job making those plans and being prepared for change even on short notice.”
“We are in it for the kids,” he added.
McCauley also shared that he will keep everyone informed of the latest developments.
