UPDATED: Surge in cases
UPDATE:
The Bourbon County Health Department Staff had a very challenging week, ending Friday 1/14, with another record number of new COVID cases. There were 242 new positive test results vs. 222 the week before. Of those 242 new patients 112 were males, ranging in age from 3 – 90. 130 were females, ranging in age from 1 – 75. During that same period the staff verified that 213 active case patients were released from isolation and considered fully recovered. The omicron variant is very much present in Bourbon County as it is across the country.
The BCHD staff also received notice of the very tragic news that during the week ending 1/14 that 4 Bourbon County citizens passed away from complications related to COVID. Please keep these families in your prayers as they deal with this terrible loss and grief.
Please continue to do all you can to keep yourself and those you come in contact with safe and healthy. And give a shout out to the BCHD staff for all their hard work to protect us all!
